Stone to Steel: Native American Heritage Weekend

Saturday, September 23 & Sunday, September 24 10:00 am-5:00 pm

Come to the Greene County Museum grounds to be transported 2,000 in the past to experience pre-contact Native life in Southwestern PA and the surrounding areas. We will have a tempory Native American village set up and housing over a dozen re-enactors who will each be demonstrating different aspects of Native life. From cooking and hunting to beadwork and shoe-making, this event gives unparalleled insight into life and culture of Natives in our area before European settlement. In addition to Native American re-enactors, there will also be Colonial re-enactors running a "Trading Post" in one of our historic log cabins. There will also be vendors selling authentic, native-made items and food based on the early American diet.

Admission for this event is $10
